Always Greener
by VerreEncore
Hey ya'll I'm back! I was pretty sick up until about a week ago. Yes, sick, for like four months. Turns out that the past four months of hell had been caused by...
a wheat allergy!
Yes! A wheat allergy. I can no longer eat wheat. No more pizza, no more hamburgers, no more pasta... Well, not "no more." I can still have these things... I just have to substitute all the wheat in my diet for other grains.
Quite frankly, I'm incredulous that my change in diet has affected my health (for the better!) to this extent. No more inflamed sinuses, no more sneezing, itchiness, and runny nose, no more rash, no more angioedema, no more irritability!
So, for all of you suffering from allergies, consider the possibility that you may have a wheat allergy. Apparently this allergy is more common than we think.
The only problem with identifying a wheat allergy is that the symptoms of a wheat allergy are the same as the symptoms for every other allergy. Talk to your doctor if you think it's a possibility for you.
Common Symptoms of a wheat allergy:
Eczema
Hives (Uticaria)
Asthma
Angioedema
Hay Fever-like symptoms
Cramps
Less Frequent Symptoms
Nausea
Vomiting
Psoriasis
Sneezing
Cough
Running Nose
Watery Itchy Eyes
IBS
Swollen Throat or Tongue
It's great to feel good again! Have a happy Spring Fever everyone!
